Creating and working on user personas is a topic of great discussion in the world of UX. From one side, personas are created but not really used in order to critically assess one’s product, leading to various later problems, related to the identify of one’s productand understanding of their audience. From toher side, personas that are not properly reflected upon can mislead towards particular outcomes and beliefs.
Personas are about understanding one’s audience, their needs, requirements and their mentality. Personas help designers understand what users did in the past, what are their weaknesses and strengths and what they would wish for, feeling a gap in the current market with their applications.
